Women's Health Magazine

You know what really grinds my gears? People that ruin something by bringing politics into the discussion.

I was reading my Women's Health magazine last night while I was on the elliptical machine. There was an article about the safety of birth control. I thought it would be interesting, so I went immediately to the article. WOOOOOOOOO!!!! POLITICS! They wrote an article about conservatives and the right taking away your right to birth control. WHAT THE HELL????

Now they ruined my workout. I was so mad I stopped reading the magazine and wrote a letter to the editor:

To whom it my concern,

I opened my magazine this month expecting to read an interesting article on birth control safety. All I found was a politically motivated article that should have no place in the magazine. I was ashamed that Women's Health would stoop to that. I understand getting information out there, but the reader could have got that information from just watching the news, twitter or Facebook. Although I do not agree with my birth control being taken away from me (since I also use it for medical reasons as well as protection) I was offended on the blatant attack on conservatism. Keep the politics out of the magazine if you hope to not offend those conservatives or moderate conservatives out there reading. Healthy women come in all shapes and sizes, as well as backgrounds (race, religion, political views, etc). Conservative views were not respected in this edition. I used to love your magazine, but now I just can't bring myself to buy another copy after this.

And that people is what grinds my gears.
