People Who Wear Bluetooth Earpieces Everywhere!

You know what really grinds my gears? People who wear bluetooth earpieces everywhere.

The bluetooth was creates as a hands-free device, not a "I'm too lazy to hold a phone to my ear" piece. That sure seems like what it has turned into. There are people that wear them around all the time. Not that they need it, but now they are too lazy to take it off their ear. Seriously, you are not that important. And if you think you look cool or something (which there are plenty of people of think they look that way) you don't. Get over yourself and use it for it's intended purpose.

Kim Kardashian

You know what really grinds my gears? Kim Kardashian.

Who is this chick? Didn't she become famous because she released her own sex tape? I think this woman is awful! I cringe any time I see anything about her online or in the news. What is the fascination with her and her family? I tuned in ONE time at the gym to one of the shows with the Kardashians, not because I wanted to, but because it was the only thing on and I forgot my iPod. They are horrible people. They are really non-important. I wish they would just disappear. I appeal to you America, stop watching and they will eventually go away.

Over Sharing On Facebook

You know what really grinds my gears? People who over share on Facebook.

Seriously, I do not need a play-by-play of your life. You do not need to update your Facebook status every couple of hours. And speaking of your "status", I do not need to know intimate details about your life. First off, not everyone on your Facebook is your close friend. Before you post something, think about who your audience is. Do you think they need to know about your child's potty training? The fact that you have been puking or on the toilet all day? Or that they need to see a picture of some nasty, bloody injury you have sustained? Because these are all things I have seen recently on Facebook.

New Jersey Stop Lights

You what really grinds my gears? New Jersey stop lights.

These things make NO sense! They are not on motion detectors. You can seriously sit there for 2-3 minutes when no one is even at the light. I know at least in other states, they are based off of the traffic flow. Here, not so much. I have to wait for the other lanes to go, with no one coming. Then I wait for the green turn arrow, when there is NO ONE there. Then I can finally go, 2 minutes later mind you. Then I hit the next stop light because they are not synced with the rest of the lights in the area. The whole vicious cycle starts again. I HATE THIS PLACE!

Silence

My friend warned me to never write a blog entry unless it is original. So if I go for long periods of silence it is because I am not going to force myself to come up with a blog entry. It should come naturally. I have one brewing, but I feel like it warrants a picture with it to really get people to understand what I am talking about. But trust me, there are more entries to come!

Foot Photos

You know what really grinds my gears? People that post pictures of their bare feet.

Um...YUCK! I do not want to see your feet every time you get a pedicure. Maybe it is just me, but feet are not hot! They are actually kind of gross! Do you think I look at the photo and think "wow, those are nice toes"? NO! FREAKIN NASTY! No one wants to see your feet!

Shopping Cart Madness

You know what really grinds my gears? People who are too lazy to put their shopping cart in the return rack.

I seriously watched a woman waste her time trying to put a cart partially on the curb because she did not want to walk 20 feet to put the cart in the rack. The amount of time it took her to lift the cart and fight to get in on the curb was longer than the time it would have taken her to walk to the rack. And how many times have you pulled into a stall and there was an abandoned cart you almost hit with the front of your car? Or how many carts that are lazily left that start to roll and then hit your car? Seriously people!

People Who Illegally Park in Handicap Parking Spots

You know what really grinds my gears? People who illegally park in handicap parking spots.

Lazy people who illegally park in a handicap parking spots should be ashamed of themselves. What if some old person, who can barely walk needed the spot, you jerk! I do not care if you are only running a quick errand. That does not give you the right use that spot.

10 MPH Below the Speed Limit

You know what really grinds my gears? People who do not drive the speed limit.

Why is it that on the day when I am running a little late for work, I always get stuck behind the person who goes 10 MPH under the speed limit? It's so frustrating I contemplated ramming the car infront of me. Could you please, for the love of God, drive the posted speed limit? You get a ticket for driving over the speed limit. Can you get one for driving under?

Reflection of the Blog

I received a hater in the comments section. Of course they hid by not stating who they are. They even tried to call me a liar. I find that interesting considering they did not identify themselves and had the nerve to call me judgmental. Calling me a liar without knowing the full truth of my background is being just as judgmental. Get off your high horse of virtue!

NEW FLASH! I do not care if someone doesn't like the blog. That is the point. This is my page for venting. If you don't like it, then don't read it. Followers, no followers, it doesn't matter. The blog will live on.

People Who Talk During Movies

You know what really grinds my gears? People that talk during a movie.

Hey idiot! Did you not see the screen that said refrain from talking and texting during the movie? I did not pay $10 to see a movie with your stupid commentary. Shut the heck up you jerk!

Tights as Pants?

You know what really grinds my gears? People who wear tights as pants.

When the heck did this become a fashion? Where is the skirt that goes with those tights? I honestly cannot get into it. I do not understand how wearing an oversized shirt with tights under it became the new great thing. It looks stupid!

Then you get the girls who should NEVER walk out in public with it on. You DO NOT have the body to pull off that look. All you are doing is making everyone cringe when you walk by. ICK!

Cell Phone Gym Chatters

You know what really grinds my gears? People talking on their cell phones in the gym.

Put the damn phone down! This is a time for you to focus on yourself. Tune the rest of the world out. Not to mention, it is really rude to the other people in the gym that are trying to focus. God knows the cell phone talker cannot talk at a normal volume so everyone is hearing their conversation. You are not so important that the phone needs to be on you all the time.

The Gym Gum Chewers

You know what really grinds my gears? People who chew gum in the gym.

First off, I do not understand how someone can workout and chew gum. I would fear choking on it! I picture someone choking and falling off an elliptical machine. You need to have clear breathing.

But that is not the real annoyance. I cannot stand when they POP their gum. I was working out and could hear a chick snapping her gum over my IPOD music! Are you freakin serious? I could hear it even after cranking my music up. A part of me wished she would choke on it! Learn a lesson, maybe!

Sing-Along-Song Guy

You know what really grinds my gears? People that sing along with their music at the gym.

It's bad enough when you can hear someones music because they are blasting it through their headphones, but add their singing to that and you have a disaster. They do not seem to know how loud they are singing and they do not realize that they are not even close to being in tune. I don't want to hear your music, much less your off pitched singing. I have to crank my music up to drown it out or I just end up leaving the gym.

Protein Shake Fat Butts

You know what really grinds my gears? People who drink protein shakes at the gym.

Half the time these people should NOT be drinking them. You CANNOT drink them if you have a ton of excess weigh on your frame. All it will do is make you fatter. I know it's cool and everything to show how dedicated you are by drinking a protein shake in front of everyone, but that beer gut says you are just an idiot. You need to consume water dude! Until you lose the excess weight and work out harder, you do not need to replenish your protein. You burn carbs before you burn protein. And add some cardio. You are not going to lose the excess by just weight lifting.

Mirror-checker-outer Guy at the Gym

You know what really grinds my gears? That guy at the gym that checks himself out in the mirror all the time.

He struts around like he is hot shit. Yeah, that beer gut you are rocking is totally hot dude! He pulls his sleeves up (if he has sleeves) and checks out his biceps.

What's really funny is the guys that only work their upper bodies and look disproportionate. Nice legs! You look like an idiot!

Get over yourself. Check yourself out in the mirror at your house. You are not impressing anyone. Most people are actually laughing at you.

Speed Bumps

You know what grinds my gear? Speed bumps.

Do people think these really work? If the goal is to slow people down, well it truly does not work. I have seen so many assholes outside my apartment gun it and then break really fast for the bumps and then speed off to the next one. Then there are the people that know the speed they can hit it at that makes to bump not seem so bad. They basically glide over it at about 20 MPH.

Then there are people like me. I have to go insanely slow over them because my suspension is touchy. I hate feeling like I am slamming my car over a bump. Of course the people behind me get pissed because I am going so slow. Cannot win.

Dog Poop

You know what really grinds my gears? Dog poop.

What is wrong with people? Clean up after your dog! Who honestly thinks that it is OK to allow your dog to defecate and then leave it? That is so nasty. Especially when someone who does clean up after their poopy puppy steps in the mess your dog left.

People who don't know how to merge

You know what grinds my gears? People who do not know how to merge.

Seriously? You didn't see the giant sign that said your lane was ending? So instead of just getting over, you push to the front and make a traffic jam. Nice job idiot. This slowed traffic could have been prevented if you had taken the time and slowed down to get over. But no, you decide to push in front of all the cars that did the right thing by merging and now you want to get into our lane. I don't think so. I don't have any qualms with not allowing you in.

People who do not take responsibility for their actions

You know what grinds my gears? People who will not take responsibility for their actions.

I cannot stand when people make excuses and try to blame other people for their problems. Man the hell up and admit when you have made a mistake. People will have more respect for you if you admit fault as opposed to pointing the finger at everyone else. Life is about decisions, good ones and bad ones. Everyone makes bad ones, but if you learn from it and grow, you are on a better path. Continue to make bad ones, well sorry sweetheart, you only have yourself to blame.

TSA Employees

You know what really grinds my gears? TSA employees.

Who do these people think they are? Really? You are like a rent-a-cop with no gun. What authority do they honestly have? And why do they have to act like jerks to everyone that goes through security? I can understand if the person traveling acts like a jerk, but there should still be a level of professionalism. And don't try to tell me that they are authorized to be jerks because of national security.

I went through the TSA line at Madison Airport the other day. I did all the needed steps. Took my shoes off. Took my belt off. Put my toiletries in a baggie, in a separate bin. Shoes in a bin. I went through the scanning and while I was awaiting the "you're good, have a safe trip" this bitchy TSA chick looks at me and asks what is in my pocket. I look down and realize it is my chapstick. She scolds me about next time I go through I need to empty my pockets. Ah, I don't think so lady. You have to remove metal. Chapstick was not picked up in the scan and it is not a threat to national security.

Military Service Abuse

You know what really grinds my gears? People that use their military service for pull in political arenas.

There is this asshole from my ROTC unit at Madison that apparently ran for the 2nd Congressional seat in Wisconsin. Matt Silverman. Feel free to look him up. He is a tool. This guy went to law school and then thought he could run for office. He has no political experience and tries to push in everyones faces that he was a "decorated combat veteran". I know what unit he was in and I know what they had as a mission. Combat veteran my ass! That is like me claiming to be a combat veteran. I never saw combat and I am sure this guy didn't either. He is trying to sway the vote with this combat veteran BS. He even thought he could walk across Wisconsin as a part of the campaign to gain followers.

I cannot stand when people use their military service to try to get ahead. There is something about being humble about being in the military that is much more respected than those who constantly remind you that they were/are in the armed forces. Unless you received an award for valor in this war, do not call yourself decorated. I would never vote for this dude. He was a jerk to everyone! His peers even hated him. Thank the Lord, he didn't win the seat.

People who turn everything into being about politics

You know what grinds my gears? People who turn everything into being about politics.

Chic-fil-a...enough said about that. People can ruin a good day when they bring up politics at every turn. This morning I was sitting on Facebook and a friend put a picture about being about yourself, no matter your background. Of course the first comment on the photo was a bash on the political right. REALLY? Thank you for ruining the whole thing your F-ing moron. It was about being yourself, not about intolerance. ASS!

Women's Health Magazine

You know what really grinds my gears? People that ruin something by bringing politics into the discussion.

I was reading my Women's Health magazine last night while I was on the elliptical machine. There was an article about the safety of birth control. I thought it would be interesting, so I went immediately to the article. WOOOOOOOOO!!!! POLITICS! They wrote an article about conservatives and the right taking away your right to birth control. WHAT THE HELL????

Now they ruined my workout. I was so mad I stopped reading the magazine and wrote a letter to the editor:

To whom it my concern,

I opened my magazine this month expecting to read an interesting article on birth control safety. All I found was a politically motivated article that should have no place in the magazine. I was ashamed that Women's Health would stoop to that. I understand getting information out there, but the reader could have got that information from just watching the news, twitter or Facebook. Although I do not agree with my birth control being taken away from me (since I also use it for medical reasons as well as protection) I was offended on the blatant attack on conservatism. Keep the politics out of the magazine if you hope to not offend those conservatives or moderate conservatives out there reading. Healthy women come in all shapes and sizes, as well as backgrounds (race, religion, political views, etc). Conservative views were not respected in this edition. I used to love your magazine, but now I just can't bring myself to buy another copy after this.

People in Grocery Stores

You know what really grinds my gears? People in Grocery Stores.

The fridge was starting to look pretty bear. I made a trip down to the nearby grocery store. What a not so awesome experience. First it was the older woman and her teenage daughter blocking the ground beef. Really? You feel the need to hang out in front of the much sought after ground beef? Shut the heck up and move lady, I don't have all day.

Then there are the people who are so unaware of their surroundings. They almost run into you with their cart because they are distracted. Look around and be aware that you are not the only person in the grocery store. And do not just leave your cart in the middle of the aisle so others cannot get around you.

Then there are the people that have no control over their children in the store. I almost hit three while there.

Lastly was the disgruntled dude behind me while I was at the Redbox getting a movie. I was there first. I returned a movie and looked for a new one. I am completely aware of how long I am taking, especially when there is someone behind me waiting. This guy got mad that I was apparently taking so long. So he stormed out, saying something under his breath as he went. Fine with me ass clown. If you want to act like a big baby because you have to wait, too damn bad.

Premise Behind the Name

If you are not a current Family Guy watcher, first off, start watching it, because it is HILARIOUS. This blog is named after a segment in an episode in which Peter has section on the news called "Grinds my Gears", where he bitches about annoying, controversial things in the world. This blog is much in the same. Just thought I would give you a quick background on the purpose and semi-inspiration for this blog.
