You know what really grinds my gears? Dog poop.
What is wrong with people? Clean up after your dog! Who honestly thinks that it is OK to allow your dog to defecate and then leave it? That is so nasty. Especially when someone who does clean up after their poopy puppy steps in the mess your dog left.

People who don't know how to merge
You know what grinds my gears? People who do not know how to merge.
Seriously? You didn't see the giant sign that said your lane was ending? So instead of just getting over, you push to the front and make a traffic jam. Nice job idiot. This slowed traffic could have been prevented if you had taken the time and slowed down to get over. But no, you decide to push in front of all the cars that did the right thing by merging and now you want to get into our lane. I don't think so. I don't have any qualms with not allowing you in.

People who do not take responsibility for their actions
You know what grinds my gears? People who will not take responsibility for their actions.
I cannot stand when people make excuses and try to blame other people for their problems. Man the hell up and admit when you have made a mistake. People will have more respect for you if you admit fault as opposed to pointing the finger at everyone else. Life is about decisions, good ones and bad ones. Everyone makes bad ones, but if you learn from it and grow, you are on a better path. Continue to make bad ones, well sorry sweetheart, you only have yourself to blame.

TSA Employees
You know what really grinds my gears? TSA employees.
Who do these people think they are? Really? You are like a rent-a-cop with no gun. What authority do they honestly have? And why do they have to act like jerks to everyone that goes through security? I can understand if the person traveling acts like a jerk, but there should still be a level of professionalism. And don't try to tell me that they are authorized to be jerks because of national security.
I went through the TSA line at Madison Airport the other day. I did all the needed steps. Took my shoes off. Took my belt off. Put my toiletries in a baggie, in a separate bin. Shoes in a bin. I went through the scanning and while I was awaiting the "you're good, have a safe trip" this bitchy TSA chick looks at me and asks what is in my pocket. I look down and realize it is my chapstick. She scolds me about next time I go through I need to empty my pockets. Ah, I don't think so lady. You have to remove metal. Chapstick was not picked up in the scan and it is not a threat to national security.

Military Service Abuse
You know what really grinds my gears? People that use their military service for pull in political arenas.
There is this asshole from my ROTC unit at Madison that apparently ran for the 2nd Congressional seat in Wisconsin. Matt Silverman. Feel free to look him up. He is a tool. This guy went to law school and then thought he could run for office. He has no political experience and tries to push in everyones faces that he was a "decorated combat veteran". I know what unit he was in and I know what they had as a mission. Combat veteran my ass! That is like me claiming to be a combat veteran. I never saw combat and I am sure this guy didn't either. He is trying to sway the vote with this combat veteran BS. He even thought he could walk across Wisconsin as a part of the campaign to gain followers.
I cannot stand when people use their military service to try to get ahead. There is something about being humble about being in the military that is much more respected than those who constantly remind you that they were/are in the armed forces. Unless you received an award for valor in this war, do not call yourself decorated. I would never vote for this dude. He was a jerk to everyone! His peers even hated him. Thank the Lord, he didn't win the seat.

People who turn everything into being about politics
You know what grinds my gears? People who turn everything into being about politics.
Chic-fil-a...enough said about that. People can ruin a good day when they bring up politics at every turn. This morning I was sitting on Facebook and a friend put a picture about being about yourself, no matter your background. Of course the first comment on the photo was a bash on the political right. REALLY? Thank you for ruining the whole thing your F-ing moron. It was about being yourself, not about intolerance. ASS!

Women's Health Magazine
You know what really grinds my gears? People that ruin something by bringing politics into the discussion.
I was reading my Women's Health magazine last night while I was on the elliptical machine. There was an article about the safety of birth control. I thought it would be interesting, so I went immediately to the article. WOOOOOOOOO!!!! POLITICS! They wrote an article about conservatives and the right taking away your right to birth control. WHAT THE HELL????
Now they ruined my workout. I was so mad I stopped reading the magazine and wrote a letter to the editor:
To whom it my concern,
I opened my magazine this month expecting to read an interesting article on birth control safety. All I found was a politically motivated article that should have no place in the magazine. I was ashamed that Women's Health would stoop to that. I understand getting information out there, but the reader could have got that information from just watching the news, twitter or Facebook. Although I do not agree with my birth control being taken away from me (since I also use it for medical reasons as well as protection) I was offended on the blatant attack on conservatism. Keep the politics out of the magazine if you hope to not offend those conservatives or moderate conservatives out there reading. Healthy women come in all shapes and sizes, as well as backgrounds (race, religion, political views, etc). Conservative views were not respected in this edition. I used to love your magazine, but now I just can't bring myself to buy another copy after this.

People in Grocery Stores
You know what really grinds my gears? People in Grocery Stores.
The fridge was starting to look pretty bear. I made a trip down to the nearby grocery store. What a not so awesome experience. First it was the older woman and her teenage daughter blocking the ground beef. Really? You feel the need to hang out in front of the much sought after ground beef? Shut the heck up and move lady, I don't have all day.
Then there are the people who are so unaware of their surroundings. They almost run into you with their cart because they are distracted. Look around and be aware that you are not the only person in the grocery store. And do not just leave your cart in the middle of the aisle so others cannot get around you.
Then there are the people that have no control over their children in the store. I almost hit three while there.
Lastly was the disgruntled dude behind me while I was at the Redbox getting a movie. I was there first. I returned a movie and looked for a new one. I am completely aware of how long I am taking, especially when there is someone behind me waiting. This guy got mad that I was apparently taking so long. So he stormed out, saying something under his breath as he went. Fine with me ass clown. If you want to act like a big baby because you have to wait, too damn bad.

Premise Behind the Name
If you are not a current Family Guy watcher, first off, start watching it, because it is HILARIOUS. This blog is named after a segment in an episode in which Peter has section on the news called "Grinds my Gears", where he bitches about annoying, controversial things in the world. This blog is much in the same. Just thought I would give you a quick background on the purpose and semi-inspiration for this blog.

Blog #2
I've realized I need a place to vent out the ridiculousness that is this world. Readers beware, I am here to rant, rave and bitch about whatever I feel like. We will see how long this one lasts. I am attempting to keep my original blog as PG as possible. Enter this blog at your own risk! You have been warned!
